Aerial Photography

Aerial, originally uploaded by Randy Dodson.

I have been deathly afraid of heights my entire life. I couldn't even get within 4 feet of the railing on a second story balcony and even now I get a bit nervous, no joke. For some reason, I have always loved flying and the best part has always been looking out the window. I've always wanted to get my pilot's license. If I could fly everyday, I would. After having an iPhone for over a year, I have recently started enjoying taking photos with it. I never really thought of the camera as 'good enough' for me to really use. I've been playing with a few apps and I really like how the images are turning out. Quick, easy 'art'? Maybe, but it's still alot of fun. Here's the two brought together on a recent flight from CLT to SFO using the ShakeItPhoto polaroid app.

Moving

I recently moved for the first time in nearly 10 years. This is the longest that I've lived anywhere so leaving was strange to say the least. There's a great many things I'll miss and a few things that I won't but it will always be an important place for me and my family.

I was doing a bit of location scouting and had to shoot this cityscape as seen from the SFMOMA.

Roads with Trees

How often do you see a street where they worked around the trees instead of cutting them down.

Mars Bar

You don't expect to run into R2D2 having a drink at the bar, not even at "The Mars Bar"

Juxtapoz Art Show

Juxtapoz is having a benefit art show towards the end of the year but we're starting to get artwork now. First out of the gate was Craig Stecyk. I really like the packaging, can't wait to see what's inside.
